VMA's Maritime Mixers are Going Virtual...for the Time Being

Ashley Olin, one of Mode5's Client Account Managers, enjoyed participating in a Virtual Mixer hosted by the Virginia Maritime Association on May 6th. The very talented guest speaker, Adam Stanton, is responsible for the latest mural that has graced the streets of downtown Norfolk. Stanton gave a virtual tour of his process in his beautiful creation. He explained what a doodle grid is and why he uses this method. Stanton also described each of the characters featured and the industries they represent. A lot of time and research goes into his work and he does a wonderful job of capturing the maritime industry and our local people. The mural is not complete, but the progress can be viewed here. Thank you to the Virginia Maritime Association and Adam Stanton for contributing to the beauty and culture that makes Norfolk who we are!

The VMA also threw some fun trivia at the 50+ people in virtual attendance and coordinated breakout rooms to allow all participants the opportunity to network. Social distancing is not stopping anyone from having a good time and making new friends!
